Teen injured in weekend parking lot crash
A Kirksville teen was involved in a motor-vehicle collision between
their mini-van and a parked semi-truck Sunday night in the Wal-Mart
parking lot.
Kirksville police responded to a call of a motor-vehicle accident at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday and upon arrival at the Kirksville Wal-Mart located a mini-van, with a 16-year-old driver in a head-on collision with a parked semi-truck.
The teen was the only individual involved in the accident and was transported from the scene with injuries, according to the police report.
It was not clear what level of injuries were sustained during the incident or where the teen was transported for medical attention.
Police declined to release the driver’s name or additional information due to their status as a minor.
