Teen injured in tractor accident

An 18-year-old man suffered chest and head injuries after he became trapped underneath a tractor this afternoon.
The accident happened around 4.30pm at Kaputaroa near Levin.
The teen was trapped for around 15 minutes before a digger was able to lift the tractor clear.
He was stabilised at the scene by St John Ambulance staff before being airlifted to Palmerston North Hospital.
