Can You Tell Me Why?

How could you be so cruel?

I feel like challenging you to a duel!

How could you harm your child?

Was he acting a little too wild?

Had you had too much to drink?

Did you just forget to even think?

How could your child’s cry make you so mad?

Now he’s dead and too late you are sad!

I do not care if your finances were out of control,

I only care about that prescious child your behavior stole.

The baby is gone and you will have to also dearly pay.

Too late you are regretful but there is nothing left to say.

Your anger and frustration finally went too far

Now we will forever miss, our little star!

I will pray for your forgiveness as I lay here and cry,

Always wondering how it happened, why? Why? Why?
