Abu Dhabi: A road rage incident last month led to a man being killed on one of Abu Dhabi's roads. The Abu Dhabi Public Prosecutor has referred two brothers to the Criminal Court on charges of murder and vandalism.
The two defendants H.S. and M.S. both 24, pursued the victim M.A., 52, for not giving way to them on the road.
According to the forensic report the victim sustained serious fractures as well as a brain haemorrhage that led to his death.
Public Prosecution investigations stated the Emirati defendants followed the Emirati victim and purposely collided with his car several times before blocking his way. They forced him to leave his car and fought with him despite his age.

When police reached the scene, the victim was in a very bad condition due to his injuries. He managed to tell police the story and mentioned both defendants beat him with a wooden stick.
"Investigation and witnesses reports, along with police statements, removed all doubts about their guilt and made it evident for the prosecutors that the two defendants intended to cause physical harm and purposely damaged the victim's car," an official from the office of the Abu Dhabi Attorney General said.
The official confirmed that the defendants took over the victim's car and blocked his way to force him to stop on the hard shoulder. They forced him to exit his car and beat him with a solid object causing injuries that led to his death.
"The accused did not respect the victim's age, as if their only intention was to show him who is the stronger," the official said.
The official warned people from attempting to take the law into their own hands.
Disputes
"No one has the right… Only legal authorities can enforce the law and settle such disputes. Anyone who tries to take matters in his owns hands will be held liable to the law and will be subject to the harshest penalties," he said.
